Mimecast strives to continually innovate and evolve our solutions in order to provide customers with richer functionality and more robust products.

Microsoft Outlook 2007 is being retired as a supported operating system for Mimecast products. This article explains what Microsoft Outlook 2007 retirement means to current customers who have Mimecast products installed on this platform.

What's the Impact?

Mimecast for Outlook v6.1, released in October 2015, is the last supported version for customers using Microsoft Outlook 2007. This means that:

  • From Mimecast for Outlook v6.2 onwards, the earliest supported version is Microsoft Outlook 2010.
  • There is no supported path to upgrade existing installations of Mimecast for Outlook on Microsoft Outlook 2007 after version 6.1 of Mimecast for Outlook.
  • Customers may remain on Mimecast for Outlook v6.1 until end of life is announced.
