Schedule Definitions are required to determine when and how often a Mimecast Synchronization Engine task should run. A single Schedule Definition can be used for one or more task and allows complete flexibility to meet the business requirement for a given feature.

  6. Select a definition to display the definition detail with editing options.
  7. Right-click on a definition to Edit or Remove it.

Considerations

  • If the definition is included in a Mimecast Synchronization Engine task, it cannot be removed until the task has been removed.
  • When editing schedules applied to an active Mimecast Synchronization Engine, the changes made will be applied within 2 minutes and the task will be rescheduled to apply the new settings. The only exception to this is if the task is running while you make the change. In this instance the new settings will be applied once the current execution completes.

Next Steps

Now that you have a schedule created, it can be used in a Synchronization Engine task.
