Mimecast is pleased to announce a continuous deployment of improvements in Mimecast Synchronization Engine, containing the following enhancements and fixes.

 

For Mimecast Synchronization Engine, improvements are grouped according to the released version number.

 

Version 2.9.1.8044

Improvements

  • Support has been added to apply a Managed Folder policy to the root Mimecast Managed Folder.
  • Support has been added to Cloud Archive for Lync IM for Skype for Business Server 2015.
  • Support has been added to Exchange Ingestion (BETA) to cater for storage API throttling.

Fixes from previous release

  • An issue using a wildcard in the IncludeIpmClasses local property for Mailbox Folder Replication has been resolved.
  • An isolated issue with an invalid content-type error when fetching attachment data via the Exchange Web Services in Mailbox Storage Management has been resolved.

 

 

Version 2.9.0.8020

New Features

  • Support for Administrator initiated Active Directory sync from the Services | Directory Sync menu in the  Administration Console (dependent on the 3.0.33  Administration Console release, expected mid August 2015).

Improvements

  • The deprecated Auto Update service has been removed from the installer.
  • Active Directory stability and performance enhancements with sub 1 hour sync support for Active Directory domains containing 100,000 objects and 10,000 groups.

Fixes from previous releases

  • Proxy settings are now honored for the Site Bind function using the Site Configure utility.
  • A service crashing issue has been resolved for the scenario where a task schedule is not valid.
  • Logging enhancement for stubbing of inline attachments for Exchange 2007 environments.
  • An issue with non alpha numeric characters in the email address for the master mailbox causing Calendar tasks to fail has been resolved. The issue is still observed in Mailbox Folder Replication.

Fixes from previous releases

  • Fixes an issue for Mailbox Storage Management in Exchange 2003 environments where tasks would end prematurely and not all mailboxes would be processed.
  • Fixes an edge case issue for Managed Folders where some messages would be processed earlier than expected.

Fixes from previous releases

  • Fixes an issue with mailbox discovery in parent, child Active Directory Forests where the user's display name contains a comma.
  • Fixes an issue in Managed Folders where the task would shutdown after a mailbox could not be properly discovered.

Known Issues

Customers using Mailbox Storage Management in Exchange 2003 environments only may find that the Exchange task does not complete properly and errors are seen in the Administration Console Task Summary Logs.

This issue is being actively investigated by Mimecast developers and we hope to have this fixed soon.
