Mimecast Personal Portal: Composing an Email

This article outlines how end users can compose emails and reply to or forward emails in the Mimecast Personal Portal, where the compose functionality is enabled.

 

To compose an email:

  1. Click the Compose icon to create a new message.
  2. Add the recipients, subject line, and message body as required.

    The auto-complete feature matches approximately 200 contacts from emails sent through Mimecast.

  3. Click the Attach to add an attachment. A total file size limit of 50 MB is allowed. If the attached file size exceeds this limit, the following error is displayed:

  4. Once the email has been composed, click the Send icon to send the message.
    The Compose feature does not support the inclusion of inline, or embedded images in email. Any inline images included will show within the Mimecast Personal Portal environment, but will not display when messages are sent outside of Mimecast.
