This article outlines the steps required to enable and installation logging. Installation logs may be requested when troubleshooting an issue with Mimecast Support.




  1. Start a CMD prompt.
  2. Run the following command where:
    • "PATH TO INSTALLER" is the full path to the MSI file
    • install.log is the filename and location of the log you would like to output
      msiexec -i "PATH TO INSTALLER" -l*v install.log
  3. Logging will be enabled for the duration of the install.
