This article covers how administrators can remove all search capabilities from end user applications.

Administrators can control user access to search capabilities in end user applications. To do so, disable the Archive Search option in an Application Settings Definition, as detailed in Application Settings.
When an administrator has disabled the search capability, the following are no longer available:
Mimecast for Outlook
|All search related menu items from the Archive section of the Mimecast Tab.|
|Smart Search from the message list view.|
|The Search and History tabs in the Archive Folders view.|

|Quick Search - The Search icon at the top of the view is not accessible when in Online Inbox or Online Sent items.|
|Advanced Search, Saved and Recent searches - The Search component of the main menu is not visible.|
