This guide describes how a Veritas Enterprise Vault user archive can be migrated to a .PST file using the Mimecast Simply Migrate Management Shell. To ensure permissions have been correctly configured, follow the steps outlined in the Enterprise Vault Permissions page.

Creating a Job

To export a Veritas Enterprise Vault user archive export to a .PST file, create a job with the syntax below:

New-SmJob -Source EnterpriseVault -SourceInput 12D1D53C97908DD408A3E0702B2810A0E1110000evserver1 -Target PSTFile -TargetOutput "F:\PSTFile.pst" -MaxPSTSize 5120 -BatchId 1 -Tags "PST Extract"

Parameters

The command above uses the following parameters:

ParameterDescription
SourceSelect the required technology you are exporting from (e.g. EnterpriseVault) by tabbing through the list of supported technologies.
SourceInputSpecify the ArchiveID of the archive you want to migrate the data from. There’s a script available to collect all your EV data.
