What We Built in 2025
We completed Mimecast's transformation into a Human Risk Management platform. Email security remains critical - and we're a Gartner Magic Quadrant Leader there - but it's one piece of a larger strategy. We now deliver a platform to secure the full spectrum of human risk: email, collaboration tools, insider threats, and AI adoption.
That transformation required speed. In 2024, we acquired three companies: Elevate Security, Code42, and Aware. By Q4 2025, we integrated them into a unified platform. We built an innovation engine that ships solutions to problems you're dealing with right now.
How AI Powers Your Defense
We built AI into the platform in three ways:
Protection BY AI
Mimecast AI analyzes 18 billion security events daily across 42,000+ customers. In 2025, we processed 24 trillion data points and flagged 9 billion threats. Mihra AI cuts incident response time by 7X through automated investigation and remediation.
Protection FROM AI
We detect and block AI-generated attacks that perfectly replicate your internal communication styles—threats sophisticated enough to evade traditional filters across email and collaboration tools.
Protection FOR AI
Shadow AI controls give you real-time visibility into which employees are using unauthorized GenAI tools and what data they're sharing. You can enforce governance policies and prevent data leaks before they happen.

What's Coming in 2026
2026 will be defined by humans and AI agents working together. Organizations are deploying AI agents for customer service and sales - coding this is giving AI the ability to act on behalf of employees with access to systems and data. The human remains at the center of the risk. We're already building capabilities to secure the human and digital workforce —shaped by what you've told us you need.
