Today, we're launching the reimagined DMARC Analyzer - a comprehensive rebuild designed around your feedback, while adding powerful new features.
Why the Rebuild?
Following Mimecast's 2019 DMARC Analyzer acquisition, we continued to operate it on separate infrastructure. Listening to customer feedback, we recognized we weren't maximizing the available synergies and decided to act.
Modern Architecture and Platform Integration
We've transformed DMARC Analyzer by fully migrating it to Mimecast's standardized AWS architecture delivering faster response times and reduced latency. This enables:
- Flexible Global Data Residency: Organizations control where their DMARC data is processed to meet compliance requirements. For existing Mimecast customers, DMARC data residency will automatically align with their existing deployment region, ensuring consistent data governance.
- Complete Platform Integration: Mimecast customers will be able to access DMARC Analyzer and their reports directly from the Mimecast Administration Console. This will allow them to enjoy: single sign-on, RBAC, instant navigation to other Mimecast functionality, and consolidated reporting.
Notable New Features
With this new iteration of DMARC Analyzer, we have also made some impactful innovations.
- DNS Delegation: DNS delegation allows you to centralize email authentication management within DMARC Analyzer, delegating management of your SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records to Mimecast's platform. Instead of manually updating DNS records each time email infrastructure changes, you configure delegation once, and DMARC Analyzer maintains the records automatically, reducing the time spent on DNS changes, eliminating potential human errors, and accelerating the path to enforcement.
- SMTP TLS Reporting: Our existing DMARC reporting verifies email authenticity - ensuring messages genuinely come from claimed senders. Our new SMTP TLS reporting focuses on delivery security - ensuring emails are encrypted during transmission, gaining additional valuable insights into your email domain usage.
- Streamlined Onboarding: Step-by-step guided workflows for domain addition and initial configuration.
- Enhanced In-App Summary Reporting: Provides quick access to key metrics without extensive data mining.
Impact on Existing DMARC Analyzer Customers
We want to be transparent about what this means for current customers:
- Migration: All existing customers will eventually migrate to the new platform. We're currently finalizing the complete migration timeline and will communicate customer-specific schedules well in advance. You'll receive detailed preparation guidance as part of your migration communications.
- Continued Access: Existing DMARC Analyzer customers can continue using the current version (1.0) without interruption. We'll operate both versions in parallel during the migration period to ensure zero disruption to your operations.
- No Additional Costs: There are no cost or SKU changes associated with DMARC Analyzer 2.0. Your existing licensing remains valid and will automatically apply to the new platform version upon migration.
- Preserved Functionality: All functionality from the old version (1.0) is preserved in the new version (2.0). DMARC Analyzer 2.0 maintains feature parity while adding new capabilities like enhanced onboarding, DNS delegation, and SMTP TLS reporting.
