Reporting Overview is split into five sections or groups of graphs, which can be accessed by clicking on the accordion menu in the left pane. The various groups and more commonly accessed graphs are discussed below.

For information on working with graphs, view the full article.

Rejection Overview

Gaining visibility of the email messages that are rejected by Mimecast, assists Administrators in providing reports on the effectiveness of the perimeter security.

This graph shows the rejected email volumes split by rejection type in a pie chart graph.

The rejection types and values are labeled on the graph. This allows Administrators to determine what is causing the majority of rejections for inbound emails. This graph is interactive and by clicking on one of the Rejection reasons, the pie sector is highlighted and separated from the graph as shown above for "IP Found in RBL".

Outbound Email

The Outbound Senders Reports display email communication from internal users to external users and domains. This report can assist to gauge both user efficiency as well as bandwidth consumption. For example, if a user sends 500 emails a day, it may be worthwhile to question his email communication.

These graphs can be altered to increase the depth of results by using the 10, 20 or 30 links.
