To access Mimecast for Outlook features, you'll need to install an add in to your Microsoft Outlook application. Once this is complete, you'll need to authenticate your log on information with Mimecast. Your Administrator will define the authentication method you should be using. This can be:

  • Automatic, in which case you can continue using Microsoft Office as normal.
  • Manual, in which case a dialog is displayed when you start Microsoft Outlook requiring you to enter your credentials.

You can check on the authentication methods your administrator has defined. You may have more than one. Read the Mimecast for Outlook: Integrated Windows Authentication (IWA) Connectivity page for more details.
