Once the Technical Point of Contact (TPOC) confirms that your firewall settings have been applied, our support team will perform a series of tests to ensure that the connectivity settings are configure correctly. If the tests are successful, a final email notification is issued to the TPOC to confirm the completion of the Mimecast Connect process.

It is recommended that the TPOC attend the Email Management Training & Education | Mimecast training courses. These courses are designed to increase the awareness of the available products and services, and how to implement these for the organization's benefit.

Permissions may be required before Administrators are able to get started with the Administration console.

What Additional Services are available?

Mimecast provides additional services to enhance your overall experience and email management options. This includes the ability to:

  • Import historical data into the Mimecast Archive.
  • Provide your end users with access to a personal archive.
  • Ensure always on email using one of Mimecast’s continuity services.

These services are detailed below.

Complete the 7-step process to configure your base servicesInitiate your Legacy Archive Data Management processConfigure your Best Practice PoliciesInstall additional Server components, such as Mimecast Synchronization EngineEnable end users through the available Mimecast apps

Additional services provide extended functionality to customers, and leverage Mimecast functionality to improve service quality. The services you deploy will be dependent on your purchased products and the organization requirements. For example, some administrators want to ensure that end users can be productive at all times, independent of what is happening internally. They will therefore want to deploy one of Mimecast Continuity services. Others may not be as concerned about continuity, but are more interested in ensuring that end users can manage their own personal permit / block lists and quarantine or Hold queues.

How do I Implement Additional Services?

Each of the additional services is deployed and administered in a different way. A list of the available additional services is described below, with links to the related Mimecaster Central pages:
